And From That Time On And...

Heavenly Father strengthen us as we pour out so that You can pour in and lead us as we pour forth in Your name. Amen

Morning Blessings, Princesses!

This week we are rounding out and headed to our home base entitled Ezekiel Chapter 48. Let's go through a recap:

Ezekiel Chapter 1:1

In my thirtieth year, in the fourth month on the fifth day, while I was among the exiles by the Kebar River, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.

The Book of Ezekiel begins with... can you guess?

TIME (592 to 570 BC)

Approximately 592 BC, Ezekiel receives his inaugural vision at the age of 30. He is specific in giving the year, month and day. In fact, embedded throughout Ezekiel are sprinkles, yes sprinkles of "time." You see, God, the author of time, is guiding Ezekiel's pen to shape a timeline of events that places the children of Israel in exile and delivers them out of exile.

The exile location, Babylon. The reason, a divided heart. At each checkpoint (date/time) we see God's judgment on Israel, His judgment on other nations, and ultimately His restoration of Israel (people regathered, exile ends, a new temple, worship, and land) and a new Jerusalem (approximately 570 BC).

Then the people of Israel will no longer stray from me, nor will they defile themselves anymore with all their sins. They will be my people, and I will be their God, declares the Sovereign Lord.’” Ezekiel 14:11

Here's another example of time found in Ezekiel 39:22 (the theme to our session this year).

Finally, we will see this week that Chapter 48 concludes with a statement of time:

“And the name of the city from that time on will be:
the Lord is there.” (Ezekiel 48:35)

What symbolism do these verses hold for you? As you pray over the entire study from chapters 1-48, ask God to reveal to you His meaning of "time" in your life.

Time +

For the children of Israel, we found that each timeframe was a buildup of something. Something special. Something amazing.

Hope

The Bible tells us that:

A Prayer To See and Know

Throughout this series, I pray that you have been able to see the instances of time intertwined throughout Ezekiel.

I pray that you were able to see God's faithfulness to the children of Israel; Ezekiel's faithfulness in following God's instruction.

I pray that as we traveled through the Book of Ezekiel, you could see time and hope overlapping.

I pray that you were able to affirmatively come or know or be reassured that God was the author of time for the children of Israel and that He is the author of our time today, now, and forever.

For this series,

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be [were] enlightened in order that you may [would] know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,

AMEN

Yes, Lord.

Our new study will be announce soon! Stay tuned!

Oh, princesses of faith...remember.

Prayerempowers and ‘charges up’ every other piece so they can be used effectively against the enemy.  Without prayer…  your armor cannot, will not, be infused with the power that only God’s - Spirit can give."

Closing Thoughts

Know that through the Holy Spirit, you can:

  • do things you couldn't;

  • feel things you didn't; and

  • know things you wouldn't.
