Heavenly Father strengthen us as we pour out so that You can pour in and lead us as we pour forth in Your name. Amen
June 29, 2020
Good morning and welcome to Week 4! For this week we will focus on:
Let's open with the following scripture (Jeremiah 29:11).
Isn't this verse so amazing? Walk with me for a second on this verse. Just pause and take a few seconds to sit in awe and thankfulness that our Heavenly Father, our Creator actually thinks of us (of us)! God thinks of you and me and His thoughts are of Peace, Hope, and a Future. Wow!
2. Pray and Listen
Now hold onto that thought in verse 11 and let's add to it verse 12
When we pray God hears our prayers, 1 Peter 3:12 tells us that "the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer". Knowing that God hears our prayers and that He listens to us further strengthens that God thinks about us. He knows our weaknesses, our strengths, our fears, our hopes, our dream, our thoughts, everything.
Moreover, as we pray, in Romans 8:26-27, the Bible tells us how God helps and listens to us:
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what isthe mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
3. Your Whole Heart
We know our God thinks of us.
We know His thoughts are for Peace, Hope, and a Future.
We know God hears our prayers.
We know that the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness.
We know that if we seek the Lord with our whole heart we WILL find Him.
Princesses, Jeremiah 29:11-13 serves as a guide for us on our faith walk. It also serves as an assurance that our God has been, is, and will continue to work all things out for our good. Do you trust our Father? Will you seek Him? Will you give Him your whole heart?
Take some time to quiet yourself and recite the following closing prayer.
Holy Spirit, come. Thank you Lord for your promises. Your words are morning blessings each day. Thank you for always thinking of me. Thank you for knowing me. Thank you for listening to me.Thank you for seeing me not for who I was, but as your child and who I can be in you. Amen
