Ephesians 6:18 tells us that praying at all times in the Spirit, will infuse the armor and through the Holy Spirit we will be given the strength we need to be the ambassadors (the warrior princesses) to fulfill our ministry He has called us to for this time; this season

1. The RELATIONSHIP- Part 2

Okay, so ASK, but are you listening?

Last week we talked about a few components of "the relationship" which include: "the conversation" and five foundational conversation questions that are central to our relationship with Christ. Take a look:

A- Ask

S- Seek

K- Knock

5 Foundational Conversation Questions In Our Faith Walk:

 (Genesis 3:8-11, John 1:38, Matthew 8:26 and Luke 11:13):

WHERE are you?WHO told you that? WHAT are you seeking?WHY are you afraid?HOW much more?

The final question posed last week is where we will pick up today:

"Have you taken the time to slow down to hear the response?"

In Acts 13:22, the Lord called David “a man after My heart, who will do all My will.” In other words, the chief characteristic of a heart for God is a passion to obey Him.

Charles Stanley commented in one of his daily devotions that "David’s highest priority was his relationship with the Lord. He delighted in both reading God’s Word and having intimate conversations with the Father, many of which are recorded for us in the book of Psalms.  In addition, the Scriptures reveal many examples of how David trusted the Lord in all the challenges of his life. This humble servant recognized that any greatness he achieved as king was actually due to God alone. Becoming a man or woman with a heart for the Lord is a valuable goal. Our aim is not perfection but a consistent, growing relationship with Him."

Hmm... based on the paragraph above, seems like David (like many other heroes of faith (Hebrew 11) all recognized that being a man or woman after God's heart mandates above all else, our willingness to have a relationship with God.  Like all relationships (think of a few you have had ), it takes time and it requires not just talking to or at the individual, but also listening.

2. 40 Week Prayer Challenge (content for the reading plan is taken from Redeemed by Angela Thomas-Pharr; adapted for GO! and courtesy of LifeWay Women, 40 Days of Prayer 2017);

In 1 Thessalonians 5:17 we are called to "pray without ceasing".  Here's your Week 37 Scripture for meditation and prayer... Ready?

Week 37 -  Ask, Seek and Knock - BUT Remember To ..... L-I-S-T-E-N

Step 1, Read Psalm 125-135

Step 2, Read the Prayer for You below

Lord, God, You have given us more than we can ever realize. But for this dear one, Father, will You give her a glimpse today? Will You let her catch a vision of the woman You see? The new potential just waiting for her? God will You grow her up and strengthen her godly fear, so any fear of man falls away? Be near to her. Make Your glory so easy for her to see. Bless her and bless her and bless her. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Step 3, Take a few moments to quiet yourself and Pour Out, Pour In and Pour Forth- PRAY

Oh, princesses of faith...remember

Prayer “empowers and ‘charges up’ every other piece so they can be used effectively against the enemy.  Without prayer…  your armor, cannot, will not, be infused with the power that only God’s-Spirit can give."
