The Fruit Of The Spirit Part 2

February 29, 2016

(continued)

Finally the Third step:

Pour Forth- 2 Corinthians 3:5-6 states, It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God. He has enabled us to be ministers of his new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life

  6. Attribute all satisfaction to Him!

To sum this up, BE SATISFIED! As is states in Psalms 65:4 “Blessed is the one you choose and bring near, to dwell in your courts!

We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, the holiness of your temple!

Thank God for what he has done. The world is full of distractions, but if thank God for his countermeasures.  When we are satisfied because we know whose we are and who keeps us, we can avoid the distractions of the world.

7. Audit the manifold blessings!

O, Great is thy faithfulness.  One word sums this up, REMEMBER!  When we remember how faithful our God is throughout the day, we have reason to send the praises up. In Psalms 63:6 it states, “when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night;”

Whether it be journaling or thinking upon it in the morning and at night, know that our God is able to do just what he said He would do. Don’t give up on God because He won’t give up on you!

8. Allow yourself to rest in His arms!

Ladies, our lives are hectic enough. God wants to help us out and take some of the load off. Well, in fact He can actually carry the whole load, but we must REST in Him.

Continuing with Psalms, in 63:7-8, “for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy.My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.”

Well ladies, that’s it. Our 3 steps of prayer. The day and life of a victor through Jesus Christ. Will you be thinking about Christ all day long, well definitely “Yes”!  But if this means we can be in perfect peace in spite of (you fill in the blanks), well that’s living. That’s shining the light onto Christ and that’s living beyond ourselves.  Take with you and hold close this final verse found in Isaiah 26:3

"You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you."

Thank you Lord for being an extraordinary God. Thank you for showing us love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

I will share with you under separate cover the closing prayer for Lesson 10- Living Beyond. Thought it was fitting to close out this session. Look for GO! in your inbox!
