What Do YOU Hear, See and Do?

Let's GO!...

Ephesians 6:18 tells us that praying at all times in the Spirit, will infuse the armor and through the Holy Spirit we will be given the strength we need to be the ambassadors (the warrior princesses) to fulfill our ministry He has called us to for this time; this season

1. Hearing, Seeing and Doing = 90% Retention

Last week I shared an infographic summary from DVOG regarding God’s presence in the Old Testament and New Testament. If you had an opportunity to review, God has been ever-present. HE is the God of the past, present, and future. The great “I AM”, the alpha and omega.

According to “Say It Again: Messages Are More Effective When Repeated” by Jeffry Pilcher, CEO/President & Publisher of The Financial Brand (September 23, 2014), Mr. Pilcher asks readers the following question:

Have you heard the following expressions?

§ Got milk? (used for 21 years, starting in 1993)

§ Just do it.(used for over 26 years, starting in 1988)

§ What happens here, stays here. (used for 10 over years, starting in 2004)

§ Help, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up.

§ Tastes great, less filling.(used since the 1970s)

§ Where’s the beef?

§ Good to the last drop.(used for over 97 years, starting in 1917)

§ Melts in your mouth, not in your hands.(used for over 60 years, since 1954)

§ Breakfast of Champions.(used for over 87 years, starting in 1927)

§ Plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh what a relief it is.(used for over 43 years, starting in 1971)

§ The nighttime, sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching head, fever so you can get rest medicine

John Philip Jones, a noted author on advertising and marketing coined the term “effective frequency” as the idea where “…there must be enough concentration of media weight to cross a certain threshold — that there has to be enough of it before the consumer buys a product to influence their choice.”

Moreover, in the article Principles of Adult Learning & Instructional Systems Design (NHI Instructor Development Course) authors cite that “we retain approximately 10 percent of what we see; 30 to 40 percent of what we see and hear; and 90 percent of what we see, hear and do. We all have the capability to learn via all three styles, but are usually dominate in one.”

Taking both articles into account, what’s your favorite scripture(s) or song(s)?

When you're struggling with a problem, what promises of God come to mind?

When you are on cloud nine, what songs of praise do you sing?

Princesses, what’s your “effective frequency” for hearing, believing and embracing God’s words? If we retain 90% of what we see, hear and do, how can we each day create the time and space to thank God for His love, faithfulness, grace and mercy, revere who He is, the great I AM and quiet our hearts and minds to hear only Him.

Just a few thoughts to ponder…

20Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. (Ephesians 3:20-21)

Oh, princesses of faith...remember

Prayerempowers and ‘charges up’ every other piece so they can be used effectively against the enemy. Without prayer… your armor, cannot, will not, be infused with the power that only God’s-Spirit can give."

Closing Thoughts-

Know that through the Holy Spirit you can:

· do things you couldn't;

· feel things you didn't; and

· know things you wouldn't.
